More retailers are setting aside space for tired and bored husbands, Forbes.com reported. Bloomingdales and other stores are installing comfy seating areas and coffee bars to keep men content while their wives shop. Experts are keen on the idea. Studies show the longer customers stay in a store, the more money they are likely to spend.

One good reason to drop your subscription to Forbes and the other useless financial magazines out there. It also shows why the major retailers in so many cases are just shooting in the dark with their strategies. Every time I start to get tired shopping and look for a place to set down while Monica shops I find nothing. Nordstrom's usually has something but every where else? I have been bemoaning the lack of places to sit for years. They are just now figuring this out? There is hope for the small retailer when the major players couldn't figure this out until now.
