Pennsylvania seeks comment on new water plan

For the first time in 30 years, Pennsylvania is updating its state water plan, a move that could have a significant impact on the landscape and nursery industry. Pa. Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Statewide and Regional Water Resources Committees are seeking comments from the public. Meetings and hearings are set for September. Jim MacKenzie of Octoraro Native Plant Nursery in Kirkwood is on the statewide water planning committee and has been a key voice for the green industry.
