Northwest expands production, shipping facilities

Northwest Hort. has expanded production capacity at its Mt. Vernon, Wash., location with 12 acres of new greenhouses and 10 acres of ground-to-ground greenhouses. It also installed a 2-acre gutter-to-gutter shipping area. 10 of the new greenhouses are for propagation and the remainder are used for finishing and cold treating plugs for spring shipment. The company has more than 1.1 million sq. ft. of production facilities and 600 acres of outdoor production in 2 locations.
